John has been pastor of Moundridge Evangelical Free Church since March of 2015. The fourth child of a Baptist minister, John was raised in the church. Though he understood the truths of salvation at a young age, it was not until John grew older that the Lord awakened in him a faith in Christ alone, a hunger for God’s Word, and a reliance upon the grace of God. John spent five years in law enforcement before entering pastoral ministry. While he has worked in some larger regions, John has mostly served in rural churches in the northwest.
John was ordained in 1999 and married his best friend, Kimberly, in 2000. John and Kimberly have three sons. Although he has many interests, John is passionate about preaching and teaching God’s Word, discipling men to shepherd their families, supporting Gospel-focused local and world missions, and, of course, reading books with his family of bibliophiles.
